Instrument Loan to Ms. Youjin Lee

Nippon Music Foundation is pleased to announce the start of the following instrument loan to violinist Ms. Youjin Lee.

Youjin Lee
Born in Korea, Youjin Lee currently studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Prof. Boris Kushnir. In 2013, when she was 17 years old, she won the 1st prize in both the Stulberg International String Competition in Kalamazoo, USA, and the Irving M. Klein International String Competition in San Francisco. In 2018, she was awarded the 1st prize and the audience prize at the Washington International String Competition, the 2nd Prize at the Seoul International Violin Competition in Korea, as well as became a Prize winner at the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition in Germany. In 2023, she was awarded the 2nd Prize at the Munetsugu Angel Violin Competition in Nagoya as well as at the Lillian and Maurice Barbash J.S. Bach Competition in Long Island, USA. She has performed with the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra as well as with the NDR Radiophilharmonie, the Baltimore and the San Jose Chamber Orchestras, the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, the Santa Cruz Symphony, the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra.
